Alcohol, speed cited in crash that killed teen driver, injured 3 other teens
PUYALLUP, Wash. - A 16-year-old driver was killed and his three teenage passengers were injured early Tuesday after the driver lost control and crashed into a tree in Puyallup, police said.
Alcohol and excessive speed were both factors in the crash, said Capt. Ryan Portmann of the Puyallup police.
Officers and medics responded to the scene, in the 1900 block of West Stewart Avenue, at about 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash.
