Prince William teen killed in Lorton crash was a 15-year-old passenger, not the 14-year-old driver

The Prince William County teen killed in a one-car wreck in Lorton Friday morning was not the 14-year-old driver but rather one of the four 15-year-old passengers in the Nissan Maxima that hit a tree and flipped on Furnace Road, according to Fairfax County police.

Initial reports said the unlicensed 14-year-old driver, a resident of Prince William County, was killed in the crash. But that was not correct.

An updated report released by Fairfax County police Saturday, June 9, noted that the 14-year-old driver has been treated and released from the hospital.
